LEARNING CURVES AFFECT HORSEPOWER CURVES, so as Javier Loarca can attest, with greater knowledge comes greater horsepower. Loarca had raced an all-motor pro class car for a number of years. There he learned about making power without boost or nitrous oxide. When his all-motor racecar was sold, he purchased this Civic EG hatch as a commuter in 2007. But a short matter of time brought him back to racing as he sought to do something a bit different. Not only would he embark on a forced-induction journey, he would do so with Honda’s newer K-series powerplant instead of the B-series he was accustomed to.

Engine parts, suspension components, data acquisition, safety gear, new metal alloys and coatings, machining equipment, race electronics…it’s all part of the world’s largest racing trade show.

Arriving from 65+ countries, 40,000 buyers will scour the displays to source the new technology that will be winning races next year. It’s all hardcore racing. No fuzzy dice. No neon windshield wipers. The PRI Trade Show is so big, they can’t afford to miss a single day.

In preparation for the holidays, we obviously have to do a little something-something extra for our loyal customers.

El Freddy dazzles again with another record shattering 7.086 @ 196.30 MPH pass at Englishtowns’ Raceway Park.

We’ve been hinting at a new header design for a while now, and have been very busy testing, poking and prodding.
Recently we have done some back to back dyno testing, comparing several of our headers to some of the more reputable competitors. We were -very- pleased with the results where we are seeing our header is right up to par with our high-end counterpart, and our brand new ram style header making massive gains over both our 4-1 style header as well as the competitors product.

#won 1st for Mod 1 class, Dylan 2nd place. Damien 3rd for Mod 2 (woulda been 1st if they counted his last session!).
Had a couple close calls!

ATCO, NJ – Jeremy Lookofsky and the Drag Cartel Drag Civic at the Sold Out Honda Day event race 1 were out in full force with their CARTEL K series motor program machined and assembled by ERL Performance Inc.

Lookofsky was excited to get back into his Drag Car and away from all the stress at the shop.
Coming off a year break from racing Lookofsky was ready to dominate. The facility is known to be a fast track but very tricky to read. Lookofsky and crew did their homework and by the end of the qualifying session Lookofsky was sitting in the number 1 position once again.

As the number 1 seeded car in the opening round, Lookofsky raced the last place qualifier putting him right into the Finals.

Final round Lookofsky was able to capture the win by driving his DVS Drag Cartel Civic to an elapse time of 9.08 @ 150+ MPH against his opponent. This was a personal best & track record.

Lookofsky reset the world record with his final round elapsed time which coincidently was held by himself for the past 4 + years.

This week in the “Oh Sh**” category, we’re spreading some awesomeness from our friends at Pure-Tuning, running our parts on their EKK24 entry in the Ohio NASA Time Attack competition.

A while ago the guys at Pure-Tuning got in touch with us looking for some solutions for their EK Race car. We helped them out improving their cooling system, and belt routing with our pulley system.
They just signed up for the NASA Event at Mid-Ohio. April 8-10, 2011, and they love to shoot video. So keep an eye on them for some more great footage.
