Introducing from K-Tuned.com the
solution to your lower rad hose problems. Most motors we
receive have the lower water neck on the thermostat
housing broken off. You can't order it from Honda/Acura
because they only want to sell you the whole housing
thermostat and all which is really expensive and still
doesn't provide any flexibility. If yours isn't broken
then you have to try and get the right hose with the
right angles on it to mate to the rad. Even after you
have that sorted out you then have to figure out where
to put your fan switch. In the past the only choice was
an inline aluminum coupler, which sometimes works out.
This new product solves a whole host of problems and
gives you a lot of flexibility with your swap. The
housing swivels allowing you to index it to whatever
position you need before you tighten it down. The custom
made provided fitting is the exact same size as your oem
rad and is also an -AN thread so you can swap it out for
whatever sized fitting that fits your install. If you
are running a braded hose with -AN fittings this housing
will allow for an easy bolt on and screw in
installation. It has three ports in the body for your
fan switch, two auxiliary 1/8 NPT for gauges etc. It
comes with a Stant stock temp thermostat and provided
"C" clip. By now having a standard size thermostat you
can replace the stat with anything from 170-195deg.
Last but not least, this was a bonus from when we were
building it. We noticed that adding one more hole to our
flange you can remove the whole stock black housing off
your block for race use only. Our whole unit will bolt
directly to the aluminum water pump housing. Perfect for
race car applications. |
